FORMAT OF ENTRIES
The catalogue entry for each inscription in the corpus has a format with 3 primary fields of information: (1) ETP entry number, find spot, and date; (2) the type of object on which the inscription was incised including the material or fabric out of which the object was made; primary bibliographic reference; and (3) text. Additional information, which includes an apparatus criticus, linguistic commentary on the inscription as well as additional bibliographic references, may be found by clicking the Notes link that is positioned at the bottom right-hand side of each entry.
A sample entry is given below. The inscription was entered into the database in the Text Category 'Funerary.'

In the sample entry, the first field of information, the header, is in boldface type. It includes the ETP number, the region in which the inscription was found (specific find spot in parentheses), and the date. The second field of information specifies the type of object on which the inscription was incised. It also includes the primary bibliographic reference. If there are photographs of the inscription, then this is noted in parentheses following the reference. The third field of information is the text itself, which is printed in boldface type.
